You’ll spend about 80% of your time on operational tasks related to accounting and day-to-day business—keeping the financial foundations running smoothly and ensuring all processes are in order.
You’ll use the remaining 20% to drive analysis, reporting, and planning—and thus actively contribute to the further development of our financial processes.

This role is ideal if you have a solid foundation in accounting and want to develop your skills in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

  • Responsibility for invoicing and accounts receivable
  • Collaboration with and professional guidance of a colleague in accounting
  • Support in the implementation of Stripe and ensuring the correct posting of all transactions

  • Assistance with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and coordination with external specialists

Strategic:
  • Assistance with monthly banking and investor reporting
  • Target-actual analyses and support with monthly performance reports
  • Cost analyses and optimization of the cost structure
  • Support in the annual budgeting process
  • Participation in strategic financial projects

Your Profile

  • You have several years of experience in accounting, ideally from a public accounting firm or an in-house finance role.
  • You are familiar with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the tax framework in Germany (experience with DATEV is a plus).
  • You have in-depth knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero or similar tools and are proficient in their use (experience in financial modeling is a plus).
  • You think analytically and entrepreneurially, work with attention to detail, and act as a strong business partner for other teams.
  • You enjoy thinking outside the box: you don’t just want to post entries, but also understand, optimize, and further develop processes.
  • You are proactive, communicative, and eager to learn; you enjoy taking on responsibility and trying new things.
  • You are fluent in German (min. C1) and have a very good command of English.

Not a must, but an added plus:
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, or Tableau) helps you leverage data effectively for analysis and decision-making.
